Be careful, He fought for Britian in WWI which is I believe the uniform in the Pic, but for served another country in WWII

Good job, Michele!

Sosabowski was a Polish General - he was the commander of the Polish First Independant Parachute Brigade at the Battle of Arnhem and was portrayed by Gene Hackman in 'A Bridge Too Far'.

He made his first parachute jump in England at age 49.

After the battle, Lt. Gen. Frederick Browning attempted to blame the failure on Sosabowski and his unit.....fortunately, it didn't stick.
