No, MacArthur was in the Army. Vice admirals were Navy.
His son is in the news a lot lately.

Dont forget Patton commanded the 7th Army in Sicily and the First US Army Group (FUSAG) In England. Both Technically in Europe  LOL.

It was a good day yesterday on the forum  - which was great after publicly crashing & burning  on a job competition for a different position at my work - my ego needed the help!!
So, I don't know how difficult, but since I gather they need to be Generals, etc during WWII and not attain the rank following WWII service, I'll forego who is "Amazing Grace" and ask
