This one won't be hard, but I post in honor of my friend's dad. As far as I can research, he served as bombardier in this plane.

If I were the history channel I would call it a B-25 or a Lancaster.

Correct. More specifically, a PB4Y-1, navalized version of the Liberator. The PB4Y-2 was a more heavily modified B-24 with a longer fuselage, single vertical stabilizer, and deleted turbochargers.

Your turn.

I will stay with the naval bomber theme. This plane is very overlooked in WWII.

I'd hazard a guess its some variant of a Vickers Warwick bomber, but I'm not sure which variant!

Martin Maryland aka Martin 187. These were originally ordered by France. After that country fell the aircraft were delivered through Lend-Lease to Britain (and already paid for too!). Used in the Mediterrainian theater mostly as reconnissance aircraft because of their relatively high speed.
A few in French hands were in North Africa when the US invaded. These soldiered on in the FFAF afterwards.

Most know I usually just answer the questions. Too many of the ones I put up are too hard to answer so I just let someone else have a go instead.

Northrop XP-56 serial 42-38353. This is the second prototype. Made of all magneisum metal to lighten the aircraft. Interesting features included venturies in the wingtips to operate a flap / spoiler system. Otherwise proved largely a failure.
