WWII Forums Quiz Part I
Ok this thread is something new I'm trying out. I will post a WW2 trivia question and the first person to answer correctly gets to pose the next question. Simple Right? Here goes, I'll start with an easy one.
Identify the first air ace in history to amass 100 kills, (surprisinly this man suffered from air sickness!).

Major Werner Molders got his 100th kill on July 15, 1941, he ended the war with 115.

Great question!
I have heard of this gentleman, but I can't quite remember his name. What I do remember was that he was a foreign Waffen SS volunteer. I guess someone else will have to crack this nut.

You are on the right track Otto. He indeed was foreign volunteer. The comment was made when Hitler was awarding him the Knights Cross

Sie is korrect herr Brown. Leon Degrelle was the Walloon volunteer and Rexist leader. He was an SS-Obersturmbannfuhrer when Hitler made the comment. He ended the war in command of the 28th SS-PzGdr Division Wallonien. He was not allowed to return to Belgium and settled in Spain. He died there because he was not allowed to be buried in Belgium. Hundreds of his colleagues traveled for the funeral. Your turn. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Question: In 1941, a small force (10 men I believe) forced the surrender of Yugoslavia by taking the city of Belgrade without a fight. What is the name of the individual who led the detachment and what unit was he with?

This one I'm pretty sure I know, I read an article on this man and his Yugoslav exploit not too long ago.
It was Captain Fritz Klingenberg of the 2nd SS Panzer Division, Das Reich. (I had to look up the unit  ) He and his motorcycle-recon unit simply told the Yugoslavs they were conqured, and fortunately for him, they believed it.

Yes, two torpedoes hit the side of the ship, and both failed to explode, and Friedrich is right, it is a British vessel, beginning with HMS.
We are very close now.
