Thanks sniper
Okay, this one might not be so easy, but then, maybe it will.
What was the Germans vertically launched rocket powered inteceptor? Full designation of vehicle, pilot on the first test, and date of the test, please.

One of those two officers was colonel Rudolf Schmundt, adjutant to the Führer. He died two months later of the bomb of 21st July 1944 of his wounds. And the other was major general Streich, commander of the 5th Light division.

The Bachem Ba349 Natter (Viper) was conceived in August 1944, and sponsored by the SS.
The first manned vertical launch took place in February 1945.
The pilot was Oberleutnant Lothar Siebert.
Unfortunately, the Oberleutnant was killed just after take off when the canopy fell off at about 350 feet and he fell out (Vot you mean, I don't get no seatbelts??).
The Natter then climbed to about 1500 feet, rolled over and nose-dived into the ground.
How's that, did I get it??

...man i hate to do this...
Malaya was invaded December 8th, 1941, by the 25th Japanese Army in the Southern Expeditionary Army. The landing sites were Singora, Patani, and Khota Sharu. The man who led the 25th army was General Yamashita.

A TOUGH one you say?
Here it goes...
What did Molotov say immediately upon receiving the declaration of war from Germany?
And who delivered it?
For kicks, when did the declaration reach this man?
And, of course, who sent it to this man?

Maybe a little. I know I've read about this, but haven't found it yet. I could make a guess and say he was drinking vodka with a pretty little commissar in the bath, and let out a very sharp expletive when he hear but that would only be the unofficial version.
Maybe someone else knows the truth??

Well sorry about that question, I guess it was too tough and obscure;

a) "It is war. Do you believe we deserved that?"
b) Ambassador Schulenberg
c) June 21st, 1941
d) Ribbentrop
I withdraw my previous question and put this one forward;
Who was the pro-axis minister of Iraq before the Brits got rid of him?

hey dasreich that Molotov question was maybe a little hard. I did find out what he siad but nothing else.
The Iraq question. Was it Rashid Ali ? Seem to recall he ended up in Germany after the British moved in around the end of May '41.

Ok, Feb '43, Hitler authorises the withdrawal of German forces on the Eastern Front to straighten the line against the Russians.
What was the Operation called, the start and end dates and the German general involved?

Just to solve the question...
This was one of those Operations which was quickly forgotten having occurred just before Operation Zitadelle,
It was called Operation Buffle and was the strategic retreat by 30 Divisions of 4th and 9th Armies under von Kluge which moved back 100 miles, thus shortening the front line by about 230 miles and freeing up 14 Divisions.
It started on March 2nd 1943 and was completed with little loss of men and equipment on March 25th.
Just prior to this operation commencing Hitler authorised the evacuation of the Demy'ansk pocket, after strong lobbying from OKH.

Yeah it does look like this is just ours doesn't it.
Maybe the others can't handle 2 quizzes at once....
Okay try this one.
During the Casablanca conference two operations were discussed which were to follow from the Axis defeat in North Africa. These Operations were the invasion of Sicily and Sardinia.
What were these Operations called, and when did they commence ?

Half right, the invasion of Sicily was Operation Husky. But does anyone know what operation name the invasion of Sardinia was given ??
clue is, it never actually took place, "Husky" being chosen instead.

Okay, the invasion of Sardinia was call Operation Brimstone. This operation was dropped in favour of Operation Husky, the invasion of Sicily. Eventually Sardinia was occupied, following "Husky"
Herr Field Marshall Evans was right on "Husky" so I'll pass the next question on to him.

Its about TIME I got one......
Ill make it a multipart one which will be easy.
Name the pilot (full name please) with the most victories in ww2.
What was his age at the end of the war?
What was his rank?
and
What unit was he in?
also
What small group of men did he belong to? In other words--he was one of 27 of these?
