Ok, here it goes.
Name the two commanders that lead the Allied North Russian expedition (1918-1920) and the dates of their command.
CvM,But not in shame.

Nope, Ironside is right, graves is wrong. Besides, you also need the dates of their command.

Ok, Ill let you off the hook, the answer is
Frederick C. Poole May 1918-September 1918
William Edmund Ironside Sept 1918 to the end.
(Both british)
Das, The other one you gave, Graves, I couldnt accept, he was a minor commander in the Siberian Force.
Ill post another question
Btw, if you want to beat me, sugest you read The Savage Wars Of Peace, but Max Smith.

Bloodless Coup-De-Tat here.
I'm taking over...
Name the only man in the ETO who was permitted not to wear a necktie on parades and why this was so...
Hint: He was in the 101st Airborne

Sorry Carl-not McAuliffe. Although that brings me to another question. When McAuliffe replied 'NUTS'-did he mean as in 'Oh Crap' or is there some American humour I just don't get???

I have heard different versions of the incident but I believe he did mean it as 'oh crap'. After being notified of the German request for surrender, He made the 'nuts' comment. He then asked what his answer should be and another officer said that his original answer of 'nuts' seem appropriate. And the rest is history. So it is a little of both. American humour in the end.
