The former Argentinian BattleCruiser General Belgrano sunk during the Falklands War, was a former US world war 2 cruiser and a survivor of the Pearl Harbor Attack.
What was the name of the ship before she was sold to Argentina?

AHHH..You gotta be quick around here...yeah TA's right for sure the Phoenix, thats why I always remember it. The Phoenix bird rises from the ashes, in this instance, it was ironic that it did so at Pearl only to be sunk in the Falklands by an Exocet Missile I believe it was...

I will keep the theme naval again.
During WWI and WWII there were shortages of steel and iron. In WWI they made some cargo ships out of cement. In WWII they experimented with making ships out of wood chips and what other item ?
Hints; The allies tried this and it would not work in the Pacific theater. Prototypes were made in Canada.

John Bolt 6
Chris Magee 9
Greg Boyington 22 or 28 or some other number depending if you count his Flying Tiger kills and how many kills he had during his tenure as a Flying Tiger. I have seen several different numbers. I don't think he left them on good terms so you get different stories.

Indeed it's ironnic, but General Belgrano was sunk by HMS Conqueror, a nuclear submarine of the Royal Navy with a torpedo. The first ship to be sunk by a submarine attack since WWII.

The question was about aircraft, not men. I fire at a 'plane, you fire at the same 'plane, we both hit it, down it goes....
Half each !

Don't know if this counts but--once at work--I killed and it was confirmed! I killed 40 Mosquitos--no--not the famous bomber from ww2--the little vampire-like pests that like to land on you and suck your blood.
