Its a must-have for any WW2 FPS Fanatic! It might take a bit to get used to, as it is more realistic then your regular FPS games, but getting on voice-chat with team mates makes the game amazing! (especially when crewing a tank together).

Yes, the game is strictly multiplayer - no monthly fee or anything. In this case, you'd only be spending $5 total on the game plus the mods.

There is singleplayer, but the Bots/AI really sucks. The game was part of a contest to design a new game using the Unreal Engine. The Developers won and thus RO got born. They are even working on a 2nd RO that will be improved!

Not as many servers as games like COD but most of the ones that are active have about 40 of 50 players in the game. Some battles are truly epic and playing with friends is great! It really demonstrates the need for team work to accomplish the objective (and to resupply AT/MG teams).

I still play, mostly Darkest Hour (the free mod you can get with Red Orchestra). I am anxiously awaiting the release of Red Orchestra 2 (which has a SP campaign that allows you to play as the Germans, apparently) but have no idea when it will be released.

Yeah I bought the game on Steam and am installing it as I speak. I'm new to pc games so I'll make sure to get some practice before I start online. Anyways, RO 2 looks awesome but I didn't have the patience to wait...so i bought RO.

Well I've been addictively playing RO and its mods....im hooked. Its a shame that noone plays mare nostrum and the only server with constantly assured players is the Danzig-only server on Ostfront.
