Default Pvt Kenneth "Jim" Hutchinson

Yes i would like to acknowledge my dad in his contribution and lucky escape in WWII

My dad never served overseas but was stationed at the Royal School of Artillery at North Head, Sydney at the time of the Japanese midgit attck on Sydney, Ironically my Uncle died on the Ferry Katabul, which was used as troop baracks at the time.

Then my dad was stationed off Brisbane when the Hospital Ship Centaur was sunk

Then at one point he was stationed in Townsville when the Coral Sea Battle was at its height and one time the parade ground came under strafing of a Japanese Zero, luckily no casualties.

Boarded a troop ship bound for some undisclosed pacific island and was only two out of his platton to be ordered off the ship, later his platoon was almost wiped out after a mortar hit the landing craft.

Then finally an accident forced him onto light duties. Thanx dad.
