Arnold C. Miller
(1924 - 2007)

JONESVILLE, Mich. - Arnold C. Miller, 83, of Jonesville and formerly of Osseo, died early Saturday morning, Dec. 22, 2007, at The Laurels of Coldwater.
Born April 29, 1924, at Payne, Ohio, he was the son of Sarah J. Mooney and Roy C. Miller.
After the death of his first wife, Margaret O. (Halleck) in September 1999, he married Gladys "Pat" Ritter on Feb. 14, 2001, and she survives.
A 1942 graduate of Frontier High School, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served in Hawaii.
He had retired in 1980 as a millwright at General Motors Powertrain in Defiance, where he had been employed for 26 1/2 years. He was also a private aircraft pilot for 47 years.
A member of the Ransom Congregational Church, he was also a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association and, in later years, St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hillsdale and a life member of V.F.W. Post No. 3360 in Defiance.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Clayton (and wife, Sue) Miller of Napoleon and Hillard (Barb) Miller of Defiance; two daughters, Onalee Brenneman of Pleasant Lake, Ind., and Judy (and husband, Mike) Garrett of Bryan, Ohio; a stepson, Michael (Karon) Ritter of Rockledge, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Carmen Hannah of Holland, Mich.; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, four brothers and a grandson.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. in the Thompson Funeral Home, Pioneer, Ohio.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Ransom, where graveside military rites will be conducted by Pioneer Veteran Organizations.
Memorials may be made to a church of the donor's choice or the Experimental Aircraft Association.
