Earl E. Davis
(1925 - 2008)


Earl E. Davis, 82, of Bryan,Ohio died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers-Bryan.
Born Aug. 1, 1925, in Superior Township, to Jesse (Cunningham) and Charles Davis, he married Joan M. Wischmeyer on Jan. 11, 1947, at Bryan, and she survives.
A veteran of the United States Army, serving with the 151st Infantry in the Pacific Theater during World War II, he was awarded four Bronze Stars and the Purple Heart.
He was employed in the Control Center of the Aro Corporation and retired in 1983 after 35 years of service.
He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bryan VFW 2489 and Disabled American Veterans. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Michael (and wife, Patricia) Davis of Bryan; five daughters, Deborah (and husband, Gene) Pahl of Edgerton, Barbara Taylor of Toledo, Catherine Davis of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Patricia Davis of Litchfield, Maine, and Ann (Dean) Spangler of Bryan; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Christopher in March 2000; two brothers, Eldred and Robert Davis; and three sisters, Mildred Smith, Marybell Davis and Maxine Hitt.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 3-8 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home with a Scripture Service at 8:30 p.m.
Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bryan, with the Rev. Father Charles Ritter to officiate. Interment will follow in Fountain Grove Cemetery, Bryan. Graveside military rites will be conducted by Bryan VFW Post No. 2489.
Memorials may be made to the Williams County Veterans Building Fund or St. Patrick Catholic Church. Krill Funeral Service : Edgerton, Ohio (OH)
