Eugene A. Martin
(1928 - 2008)
HICKSVILLE,OHIO - Eugene A. Martin, 79, died Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.
Born July 24, 1928 in Danville, Ind., to Amelia (Pope) and Hayden Martin, he married LoRean Johnston in 1950, and she survives.
He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran, and was a bus driver for Continental TrailwayÕs until his retirement.
Surviving in addition to his wife are son Gary Martin of Bethlehem, Pa.; daughter Sherry Roby of Hicksville; three brothers, Don Martin, of South Carolina, Jack Martin of Alabama, and Jerry Martin of Indiana; three sisters, Shirley Spaulding of New Mexico, Marjorie McCracken of Colorado, and Joanne Brinsley of Indiana; and six granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Martin.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 2 to 7 p.m. and 10 a.m. Monday at Smith & Brown Funeral Home in Hicksville.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Smith & Brown Funeral Home toward funeral expenses.
