Cmdr. Hamilton McWhorter III passed away last April 12th, at is home in El Cajon, California.

Can anyone provide his birth date and place? I can'r find it anywhere...

Yes, he was born on February 8th 1921 in Athens Georgia, if you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Here is the oficial death notice;

Cdr. Hamilton McWhorter III, USN (ret.), 87, of El Cajon, California, formerly of Athens, died Saturday, April 12, 2008, at his home.
Memorial service, Sunday April 27th 4pm – First United Methodist Church of El Cajon located at 772 S Johnson Ave in El Cajon.
Interment ceremony, May 5th 1pm – Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, Point Loma, Ca

Coincidently enough, a day before knowing of your father's passing I saw him on "Dogfights" of History Channel. Remarkable man.
