Lester Bruce Nelson was born on March 16, 1916, in Lyra, TX and died on December 18, 1986 in Taylor Co, TX. He entered the service on October 16, 1942, and trained at Ft. Louis, Washington. Afterwards he was stationed at Camp White, the message center.

Lester's brothers, A.C. and Gerald, also served during WWII, as well as a brother-in-law, Earl Adams.

Lester is buried at Elmwood Memorial Park, Abilene, TX.
