Hey guys, I'm hoping someone here can help me. I used to play Day of Defeat everyday...then they upgraded months ago, and like a good little boy I downloaded the upgrade. Now it won't connect. And when I got to play counterstrike, it says my .dll file doesn't match the games or something like that. I downloaded the newest version of DoD today and still it will not work. Ricochet will work however but thats it...any ideas?

Sorry Spitfire, I played DoD about a year ago, but I don't have it anymore. I'm surprised it is still popular, especially since MOHAA and RTCW have come out since then, it must be really good.

That's another thing..I bought MOHAA the first day it came out ( I'm a huge fan of the MOH series). I don't have 3d texturing or something like that so my computer can't handle it. $50 down the drain. I haven't picked up any new war games for the pc since then. That's why I'm hoping Xbox still plans on releasing MOHAA for its console.

You see? That is why I don't get computer games, there is always something bad with them. That and because I have an iBook here at work and one of my own and those games do not run in Machintosh... And Apple games are few and very expensive... Damned... the good things is that I have the old PC back there at home. The bad part is that is all the family's...

Hey. I suggest that you reinstall DOD or just go back to the previous version. You also might want to try downloading the latest version of half-life which is version 1.1.1.0. It's a huge download, but it may help your situation. But I can't put any guarantees because basically, in my opinion, all the half-life game updates are full of bugs. For example, any version after 1.1.0.8. will take away sounds from the colt python. I hope that this was of some help. Good luck!
