I was playing the first mission yesterday.
I got to the door in Arzew that we have to get through. The Captain was yelling at me to open the door-or "check the door", one of them and the bloody thing wouldn't open-
How do I open doors???

Well, just knock and the Germans will let you in !
( Actually, you have to press your nose against it and press 'E' - if it won't open, you shouldn't be there . Although much later in the game you can try a Panzerschreck if nothing else works... )

Cheers Martin-although I did try some very lethal MKII Fragmentation Grenades...to no effect...

I think I've tried just about everything on doors - only the Panzerschreck seems to work....

I know that MOH for the Comp is different then for PS2 but there is one mission on PS2 where there is much the same situation. The Germans eventually open the door, but you have to go upstairs and use a HMG to blow up a red-can (full of something explosive). So you might want to try looking around for something that can blow up near the door. Or, inside the house itself, there might be a *secret* door...you will have to crouch down and look for it (on PS2 there are doors like that that can be accessed when you crouch down - they take you into the neighboring house) and the little message should pop up when you are near the door that tells you 'To Open Door, press Blahblah key'
Hope that helps

Let me know if what i told you helps you out any. And in the future, if you cant seem to move on to the next area, search high and low and blow up any red barrels or explosives you see. always seems to do the trick.

I think I might be able to help. However, which door are you talking about. If it is the metal gate you have to go to a wooden door NW of your position. You walk up to it and then you hear the captain scream 'ambush'. Then you can go up the metal gate and up the stair.
Hope I was some help

Yeah. All you have to do is walk up to the door and press your use key and you'll here a noise that lets you know that it's locked. A few seconds after that the Germans will ambush you and the captain will order you to man the MG42 mounted machinegun in the window. Just simply go up the stairs, blow the hell out of the Germans until your whole squad is killed and then go back to the door and the Germans will smash it open. Be careful though because there may be some Germans on the rooftop of the building opposite the one that has the machinegun in it. Oh yeah, when the door blows open watch out because 2 riflemen and 1 officer that's armed with an MP40 will come running through so I suggest that you pick up the thompson from the dead captain's body or use an MP40 that you picked up before approaching the doors. Hope I was of some help. Good luck with the game

I have never tried explosives to poen doors in MOHAA. In that level you're gonna try to open a door, wich shows to be locked. Seconds later everybody screams "AMBUSH" and a window smashes open and a MG42 nest is behind it. You're gonna kill the kraut behind it, run towards a iron bar door, run up some stairs and man the MG42 on the Captains order. The you just shoot german ass.
