Redmond Simonsen, one of the founders of Simulations Publications (SPI) died March 9 at age 62 in Garland Texas.
As one of the founders of what is likely the most prodigious and widely known simulations game companies of the 1970's and 80's Simonsen was responsible for making much of what has become standard graphics for non-computer wargames.

Very sad to hear, the hey-day of SPI was in my late teens and many funds were spent on games such as Normandy(tm), RedStar-WhiteStar(tm), HTTR(tm) and many others.
