Does anyone here play talonsoft's East Front II still? Preferably the East front gold if you have it.
Same with West Front Or rising sun? If so, Would you be interesting in doing a PBEM?

Hi Carl, sorry for taking so long but I don't come to this section very often.
I do play EFII and WF. Rising Sun I have as well, but to be frank I only played the tutorials. I could exploit it more, but as you can see from my avatar I'm more of an East Front man (Well, it's the West Front for me but this depends on point of view )
I am enrolled in www.the-blitz.org for scenarios and PBEM, but really I don't have much time available to play regularly. I wouldn't mind sharing a few games with a fellow I know already

Out of curiosity, how does EFII run on WinXP for example?
I have my old disc lying around somewhere in my CD drawer, and one of these days I might give it another whirl.

I have no problem. It was conceived in the days of W98, and when I went up (or down!) to W2000 I gave up the game as lost. However when I moved to WinXP, surprise! my favourite WW2 game of all time was back

Tell you what, when you find the time just start a PBEM scenario of your choice and mail it to me at Za_Rodina#at#yahoo,com. Heartland, feel free to join too
Right now I'm in the middle of a solo West Front game in 1940, where I have been surprised by a horde of French infantry with a company of FCM36 in support. The Germans start demoralised and in fixed positions. Where's Rommel when you need him?

Holy mackerel, do I hate the artificial intelligence of these games! I played with the Germs first and I won, narrowly, but I managed to chew up some very aggressive French.
Then I played with the French and I managed to push the Germans to the Vistula and beyond!
Jeez, do I need a human opponent, or whatever passes by it in this forum
