Well I just updated my PC

Now I"m looking for a new game to enjoy on it. I play HOI2 DD all the time and Love it. But I think I want a tacticle game to try.
Company of Heroes would be the obvious choice but I just don't want to jump in on it with out looking and maybe falling on a hidden gem.

So my question to you is? Do you know of any games that are tacticle RT strategy?

So things to consider before you answer: I hate turn based games, Don't enjoy games that are just "click fests". I like good graphics but realize that it's not important in strategy games sometimes, Has to be WW2 based as the future weapons crap doesn't do anything for me.

Any thoughts would be appreaciated!

I'm going to suggest the Sudden Strike Series. (Sudden Strike + Sudden Strike Forever, Sudden Strike 2). The games are enjoyable and you need to use tactics. Multiplayer is especially fun (and now i'm gonna have to dig up my copy and play, damn it!). Its lesser known, i think because it was made by a European Company, but let me tell you - i've devoted HOURS to the game. Sudden Strike 2 is the latest in the game, and they're working on a Sudden Strike 3. Just google it for me. Sudden Strike 2 has German, British, American, Japanese and Russian Single Player Campaigns.

meh...I looked at that series..not sure if I would like it. Company of heroes is the #1 game out there right now. But the only thing I like is that there are very few factions to play.

I just wish there was a grand strategy game (Hearts of Iron) combined with a tactical game (Company of heroes).
That would be the ultimate game, and the end of my marriage!!!

If you want an excellent RTS with a WWII background, CoH is the way to go, it takes all the gameplay of the award winner Dawn of War (one of the best and funniest RTS ever IMHO), add more features and a nice WWII background and has outstanding graphics.

If you are more into realism and simulation, you might wanna try Theater of War, which is a real time combined arms tactical simulator (few videos below), but requires a powerfull PC (I'd say a 3Ghz CPU or dual core CPU, a recent 256 MB GPU and 2 Mb RAM would be comfortable) :

I have tried The demo of theater of war, but I don't like it for some reason. Another good game is Battlestations Midway. It's an RTS, Flight sim and a Ship sim all in one.
