How would I make a video like that for my other games (CoH, ect)?

I have a program called FRAPS...allows you to record 30 second clips. I also have Windows Movie Maker, where i paste the clips together etc. FRAPS runs in background and you hit F9 (default) to start recording.

Look at FRAPS (open FRAPS) it tells you where it stores it, and you can change to store them where you like.

What recording program are you using? I'd love to be able to record more then 30 seconds of action.

Like everyone here I tried the free version then bought the full version of FRAPS. Great for screen shots as well, no more changing png to jpg.

Well worth the money if you intend to make short movies.



21:05 Hours Update

I really suck at IL2 all over the place at times and my gunnery I could do a IL2 film but with the auto pilot on and thats cheating. I will stick to CF3 where I got better control.

What other mods are you using w/ GWX? Those movies make me want to reinstall the game, get the mod, and teach myself how to sink ships!

GWX 1.04 could be out this year but to date no word as this is the last big update from the GWX team, after that it's only patches to fix any bugs. So I'm not to sure how many of these mods will be incorporated in to the 1.04 any how here are some of the must haves.

Binocular Mod - more like the ones they used
Longer Wakes - v1.0 for GWX - A longer wake on the U-Boat and the T1 Ells
GWX-TA1.3_Seafloor mod-256mb - No longer looks so bland
GWX v1.03 Spy Sat - Bit of a cheat shows up the convoys on the map
GWX-Lowered DF Antennas - bit of pain as it sticks out the water so this helps
??_sub_C-Class - VIIC/41 re-done
The Elite U-Boat Crew Uniforms - Jackets and jumpers and gloves
Generic Mod Enabler (JSGME) - Very useful for installing mods
SH3 Commander - Allows you to change things like deck gun reload time and giving out medals

There are a number of U-Boat Skins and Ships that can be added to the game

For some reason my registered version of FRAPS wont record game sound. I have it all on default settings. Getting frustrating!

Good news is that my MP40 movie is looking good at the moment, as is my Sniping Movie. Now all i need is to double the footage i have and add some sound! For a special treat, heres a movie involving Grofaz Otto rampaging around in a Jeep as a Russian!

That video is quite nice. You start out running into 3 Soviets coming over the N. Hill at Kursk and you end up downing all three. Good music selection as well, the singer mentions "Chicago" which was a nice, though probably unintentional touch. +rep earned for that one.
