Re: F1 and new rules
A great race indeed and it's a open season without the spectra of (M.S.) anymore.
Trouble is we now have to wait three weeks for round 2.

Re: F1 and new rules
Mclaren has been rather strong, and also Alonso with Hamilton have succeeded very well so far. How on earth does Mclaren engine look so good this season?? Massa again for the pole, this time in Bahrain. We´ll see if he can keep his nerve and stay up there once the race begins. Interesting top four to start the race: Massa, Hamilton, Räikkönen, ALonso.

Re: F1 and new rules
Go Hamilton, go. Well us Brits may just have a driver who wants to race and win at long last, let's hope so.

Re: F1 and new rules
I watched ( part of ) yesterday's race - first time in ages - and I must say that Hamilton seems to be a remarkable talent. Massa withstood the pressure well, too.
Only watched as far as the first pitstops - it all then becomes too confusing ( uesed to prefer it when they went the distance ). And the circuit - boring ! I used to make more challenging Scalextric layouts when I was a kid.....

Re: F1 and new rules
Just caught up on the races I recorded and Hamilton is making his mark and hopefully we will have a British world champion again, I hope so.

Re: F1 and new rules
Next is Monaco and we´ll see how Hamilton will do there. I have personally nothing against the man but most F1 drivers say this is where your skills are tested.
Must say McLaren has got their "rocket" in good working order for this season, so far.

Re: F1 and new rules
Well could Hamilton had won that one as the commentators said? Well I am not sure, he was being cagey and did he play safe and settle for second place maybe. Well it's neck and neck now on points and it's nice to see no one is way out in front on the points. Lets hope we get a good season right on the edge all the way to the end.

NEWS -
F1 Bosses are to investigate McLaren for possible breach of rules.
Something to do with team orders.

Yes,
McLaren will deny them but we all know every team has them....

Re: F1 and new rules
Over taking at Monaco is a dodgy thing too do so I bet the FIA will do nothing but watch McLaren for a few races.

Re: F1 and new rules
The Finnish press of the race: " ...while Kimi Räikkönen was checking the other team´s exhaust pipe solutions during the race..."
Kimi is starting to get the towel in the face by the international and especially Italian press.

Re: F1 and new rules
Hamilton wins the race and what a race it was, well done Hamilton.
Poor old Robert Kubica that was one hell of a crash just glad to see he came out of it alive
even so he's out for a while with his broken leg.

Re: F1 and new rules
That's very good news about Hamilton - the Press will go nuts tomorrow and now he will start to get real 'media pressure'.....

Re: F1 and new rules
Good for Hamilton but Alonso won´t like it....
Unfortunately I have a feeling Alonso has several clauses in his contract about who is the No 1 driver in the team, before the season nobody truly believed that McClaren could come up with this fast and unbreakable "monster". And that is why everybody was surprised that Alonso would join the team.
Personally I wish all the best to Hamilton! And I just hope the newspapers will be gentle with him if he should drive some bad races....

Re: F1 and new rules
The BBC news yesterday showed a rather charming TV clip of Hamilton taking part in a demonstration of radio-controlled model car racing. It was amusing to see Hamilton's look of patience and intense concentration as he explained the workings to a rather patronising TV presenter.
( I should add that Hamilton was seven years old at the time..... )

Re: F1 and new rules
Great driving again! Alonso seems to be "in pain" for some reason...as well as everybody in the Ferrari team...

Re: F1 and new rules
Ferrari did well in France but hard to say if they found the key to success in time...
Hamilton still picking the points to keep the distance to other drivers...
