Re: F1 and new rules
According to the "news" Hamilton got some consolation from the lead singer of the Pussycat dolls...Nicole Scherzinger...so I guess he can´t be all that disappointed after all...

Re: F1 and new rules
I wonder if Alonso will go to a middle order team just can not see him in the back order, test driver is always a possible?
Bet old Ron was glad to let the hot head go in to the night.

Re: F1 and new rules
Now it´s official after the Mclaren protest did not change results: Kimi is the World Champion!!
Also read that Alonso might be interested for driving in red Bull for one year, perhaps the RB team is getting just enough money for his salary for one year.

Mclaren had no interests in the points what so ever they just wanted justices.

Re: F1 and new rules
Just paid my mate for tickets to 2008 British GP, he's doing the Friday & Saturday, I'll go for race day.
He's an old hand, British GP many times and Spanish one too.
It'll be my first GP.
I've seen them testing at Silverstone but never an F1 race.
Quite excited.

Re: F1 and new rules
Heard in the news that Renault is going to change both drivers for the next season. Alonso might be the other one to come back, but then again the team are accused of robbing info from McLaren like Mclaren was accused vs Ferrari. If the penalty is the same don´t think Renault will be getting other than Arab or Japanese drivers ( who have lots of money to pay for their F1 licence ).

Re: F1 and new rules
BBC SPORT | Motorsport | Formula One | Alonso opts for return to Renault
He going back to Renault as Number 1 driver but look Heikki has to take a hike.
Quote:
|
Kovalainen, who is managed by team boss Flavio Briatore, was considered by the team to be good enough to challenge Alonso, and therefore keeping him was not in the interests of a harmonious team.
|
Alonso is a spoilt brat prima-donna, didn't like Hamilton showing him up this year & doesn't want a Finnish team mate doing it next year .

Re: F1 and new rules
Kovalainen to join the McLaren F1 team...!!!
Could not be better news!
Heikki is following in the footsteps of Mika Häkkinen and Kimi Räikkönen and he already showed he can drive during the last season.
Welcome to Heikki's Web-site! | HEIKKI KOVALAINEN

Re: F1 and new rules
Good news with Kovy going to MacLaren.
A driver to keep an eye on.
He'll keep Hamilton honest.
I see Kovy was born in Suomussalmi, mmmmm... wasn't there a battle there once?

Re: F1 and new rules
Yes, indeed, Suomussalmi was one of the more important battle places during Winter War 1939-40.

Re: F1 and new rules
Quite an interesting interview ; of course, he may not have been offered a Knighthood due to the the persistent rumours that he was involved with *** ***** ***** *******. And as for sex in F1, the widely-circulated story that ******* ***** was caught in bed with one of his mechanics probably wasn't what Bernie had in mind !
