Re: football !!
WOW! What a game. Arsenal remain the team to beat after a 2-2 draw with Man Utd. Lucky goal by Rooney, then great goal by Fabregas saw it at 1-1. The bad mistake by Almunia saw CR score to take the lead, but then Gallas made up for the own goal and scored in 90th minute to tie it for Arsenal!

Excellent game and shows that it´s not over until it´s over! I am sure Alex Ferguson already tasted the victory in his mouth....

Re: football !!
The most recent news:
Club vice-president Ferran Soriano told La Vanguardia: "Ronaldinho is not for sale, neither in December, nor June.
"It's inevitable that he has some problems with his game, but we've never thought of selling him."
PS. Can one though be 100% sure ever...

Re: football !!
Russian offers Croatia incentives for win | Reuters
Spartak Moscow owner Leonid Fedun said he would donate four Mercedes cars to Croatia's best players if their team comes away with a win at Wembley.
"I'm doing this strictly as a fan," Fedun was quoted as saying by the Russian media.
"If we have even a small chance we must try to use it."
Israeli media reported that an English businessman had promised a Mercedes to the Israel player, who scored a winning goal against Russia.
However, the Israeli FA said Omer Golan, who struck the injury-time winner, would not be able to accept the gift because it was deemed to be "beyond the bounds of sportsmanship".

Re: football !!
The FA have sacked coach Steve McClaren and his assistant Terry Venables following England's failure to qualify for Euro 2008.
A hastily-arranged FA board meeting at Soho Square rubber-stamped McClaren's departure after just 18 games in charge, the shortest tenure of any coach in the post.

Re: football !!
Thats because he was tactically inept and had no idea what his best team or formation was, everyone knew he was rubbish before he got the job apart from the buffoons who run the English FA.
When he left his club Middlesborough to manage England they were glad to see the back of him for the above reasons !!
Still he walks away with about 4 Million so not a bad years work for being a complete failure !!

Re: football !!
Sorry I get excited about this but as I am a Finn....I hope the big teams do not let him go just because he´s from Finland. I know he would never have played so long for Bolton if he was, say, Swedish or Norwegian.
The man played against Portugal and Man Utd last week and neither scored against him...
---------------
Bolton chief Gary Megson says he wants keeper Jussi Jaaskelainen to extend his stay at the Reebok Stadium.
However, with the Finn's contract due to expire next summer - it appears the Trotters boss has a tough battle to convince the 32-year-old to stay put.
Jaaskelainen has just been named Finnish Player of the Year and a host of clubs around Europe are checking on his situation.
Several Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, are also known to be interested and they are all only too aware of Jaaskelainen's talents.
However, there are also clubs from across the continent, among those Internazionale - who are also keen and could open talks in January.
But Megson is hopeful he might be able to persuade Jaaskelainen to stay.
"Jussi is one of the best keepers in Europe. We'll sit down when the time is right," he said.

Re: football !!
How about WERDER BREMEN'S (!) win over Real Madrid this past week. We were without Diego, Torsten Frings, Tim Borowski, and Tim Wiese, and we stuck it too that Galactico scum!
btw Kai, Petri Pasanen played well, as always

Re: football !!
Big day tomorrow (Sunday, DEC 16) in the Premiership League. Four Titans are clashing!
Arsenal v. Chelsea
Man Utd. v. Liverpool
Four of the top 20 teams in Europe I'd say. Don't know much about the Utd/Reds game (Utd should win that one given recent form) but Arsenal are going to have a real tough one against Chelsea. Fabregas, Hleb, and Flamini are all out for Arsenal with injuries (Fabregas being one of the best midfielders in the world, and hands down the best 20 year old in the world). The good news is that RVP (Robin van Persie) is back after an injury with the Holland Nat'l team though not in top form. Should be a good match though.
