Try getting mixed up whilst watching the Old Firm, then talk about punishment.

Quote from an interview between Brian Moore and THE Jimmy Greaves:
"Do you remember when they introduced the Yellow Card - Red Card system Jimmy?"
"Oh yes, I was at Chelsea then. The manager called 'Chopper' Harris over in the dressing-room and asked him if he knew what he was holding? Chopper said of course he did, it was a football, why? The manager said; 'Because Chopper, in future this is what you have to kick!'"

Looks like it's Milan will be saying be bye bye to Shev . AC announced they will/are negotiating with Chelsea about a transfer. Reputed to set a new world record in football.
Re the recent meeting with AC boss Berlusconi, it's a fair bet he wouldn't come up with the additional dosh Shev wanted. Shame to see him go but such is the game. No doubt he'll fit in well at Chelsea and the money will patch over any conflict of a Ukrainian working for a Russian - I mean it will, won't it?

ps. bet I know someone who's quietly chuffed about the move

Yes, it definitely looks like Shev will go to Chelsea. I think he will score the 20+ goals and set Chelsea for another championship in the Premier league and maybe their desired victory in the Champions´league as well.

You want real punishment try Rugby Union. Now there is a game for men.
Shame bout Shevchenko. Should be interesting to see how he copes in the premiership. Anyone watch the Soccer Aid match? Good game. Good to see Maradona on the pitch again.

Hmmmm...from teamtalk.com
The Blues are aiming to complete a British record £35million signing of the 29-year-old in the next three days - but the Italian giants are determined to secure Gallas as part of any deal.
And what about van the man ...Nistelrooy?? Going...going...?

Reasonable logic in such a deal Kai, plus I think a factor is that Juve would also like him . Gallas would provide AC with some immediate quality defence in view of the 3 current defence events. Staam and Cafu are leaving and Maldini is not going to appear that much – the boys slowing down in his old age. AC are not ‘desperate’ for defenders, but I can see they want a little more width to maintain their buffer zone.
Longer term they need to work on some of the new boys, like several who are currently playing in the EUFA Under 21’s. Watching Italys’ games on TV, I did notice Mr Maldini Jnr on the touchline paying careful attention. However, he won’t get to see any more as Italy went out to Holland .

Yes, I believe Gallas is/will be a good player, defenitely!
But what do you think about changing Shev to van Nistelrooy? AT least that seems to be alot in the air? Alex Ferguson must have big fish in the hook if he wants to let Ruud go! Of course Louis Saha has been good and Ole Gunnar might make it back plus the young striker promise Rossi on his way but Van has been really deadly in the penalty area and especially in the Champions´ league...Well, I think we´ll see soon, before the games begin on 9th June!

I think we will see a lot of changes and new signings at AC Kai. As we worked out before, most of their ’names’ are getting on a bit now – or a lot in some cases. Nistelrooy would fit in well at AC, but, he’s also 30 this year, same as Shev . Great player, but a short term measure.
Without knowing anything of the real talk, it seems Shev is leaving over money, and Ruud because he can’t get on with Ferguson - who said “Not a bad judge” . It probably makes no difference, but I think you get more from a player who isn’t completely driven by money – a bit like blackmail, always want more.
Normally the clubs get their chequebooks out towards the end of the World Cup, as no doubt they will do again – e.g. African and American players. Maybe the names are pushing issues now before the clubs are all spent up!
The TV here continues to on and on about Rooney – will he, won’t he. Occurs to me they keep going on about the England ‘Team’, i.e. 11 men. So if they really are that shallow, a couple of injuries and/or Red Cards and they’re finished???
BTW, London’s Crystal Palace manager, Iain Dowie, negotiated a cheap amicable resignation from Palace, on the grounds his family are 300-400 miles away and he wants to move north and spend more time with them. No sooner does he leave than he signs for London’s Charlton! . Palace are now suing him for compensation aggravated by being lied to. Dowie said he didn’t ‘lie’, he has moved north – 9 miles! The next round :
Kalou completes Chelsea switch
Chelsea have completed the signing of Feyenoord striker Salomon Kalou on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
Crespo keen on Milan return
Chelsea striker Hernan Crespo admits he would welcome a move back to AC Milan from Stamford Bridge. (??!)
Who gets Joaquin?
Joaquin's heart set on Prem switch
Real Betis star Joaquin, who is being tracked by Chelsea, Newcastle and Manchester United, has not ruled out a move to the Premiership.
"One of the possibilities that is being evaluated is my departure and we will see what happens," he said. "What I want is for everything to be sorted before the World Cup.
"We will have to go for the strongest offer because Betis will not transfer me just like that, but I also want to go where I can win and be happy from a professional and personal level.
"I would also like to continue to play in the Champions League because I think I can play among the best."

I think Kalou wanted to get out of Holland after his failed bid for naturalisation....Feyenoord will have to start looking hard for a new striker or two; Kalou gone, Kuyt going to Liverpool or New Castle (I'd think he'd be more in his element at a club like New Castle, I think that club fits him better than Liverpool).
Ailton from HSV is also up for grabs....HSV is looking for a new striker. Think they are looking for a big name as well.
Ajax is eyeing Gabri (Barcelona) now that Ten Cate is taking over as Ajax coach.
Van the Man to AC would be a nice continuation of the Dutch involvement with the club. Have to say that AC has had a lot of succes with their Dutch players.

I always thought Crespo wouldn’t be happy outside Italy where his real development took place. He was so good at Parma but circumstances at the time made moves to other clubs quite difficult for all sorts of reasons. He doesn’t exactly ‘shine’ with Chelsea, when given the opportunity, and I suspect the crowd doesn’t get behind him much.

I’ve seen him at San Siro and he is liked there. Again he’s a 30+ player, but another good short term investment for AC. Of course, this will further offset the money Chelsea are being asked to pay for Shev.
Some pundits claim Joaquin is poised to sign for Liverpool
And, Patrick Vieira keeps everyone guessing. I think whether or not Juventus get demoted if the match fixing investigation goes badly against them, Viera will move. Probably he’s just waiting to see if he can use a get-out clause in his contract to reduce money that would have to go to Juve?

Seems like Chelsea is buying all the "new names" in the market as well?
Blues edging closer to Mikel capture
Chelsea should complete the signing of Nigeria star John Obi Mikel in the next 24 hours after talks over his transfer continued on Friday.
More deals?:
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho wants to sign Ashley Cole as well as Galactico Roberto Carlos, but the Arsenal star will set him back £20million.
It is also understood that the Blues will attempt to finance the transfer for Cole by offering Shaun Wright-Phillips in a swap arrangement but Wenger is expected to prefer straight cash.

Agreed Kai, the current buying round of Chelsea does seem like a new record in itself? Perhaps clubs think certain prices might go up if they leave it till after the Cup - assuming their intended would still be available?
Arsenal may be getting the same demotion treatment as Juventus if FIFA decide to get nasty about their £1 million eventual African 'loan'.
Maybe Man U are keeping their heads low for the moment?

Today´s news....
Chelsea have agreed to pay £12million to Manchester United and £4million to Lyn Oslo to secure the services of John Obi Mikel.
United thought they had secured the talented 19-year-old from Oslo after he signed a pre-contract agreement with them in April 2005.
But Mikel subsequently claimed he had been pressured into signing the contract and wanted to join Chelsea instead.

Chelsea are reputed to have spent around £42 million so far in their current spend .
Meanwhile, Italian press can’t agree whether AC are chasing Cagliari superstar David Suazo or Juventus striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic as a replacement for Shev?? But, AC midfield golden boy Kaka is being poached by Real Madrid??? IMHO however, Kaka plays well for Brazil, but not that great for AC - so

Now the press say AC has bagged 22 year old Spaniard, Fernando Torres, for £20 mil, but no official announcement till after the World Cup
Still hope they get Crespo as well.

Now Man U are claiming to be signing Torres for £23M, and, Gattuso . And, Ruud 'may' go to AC, or 'may' go to Bayer . The World Cup always brings a silly season of signings and this year appears no exception.

Hmm......AC now deny offering £20M for Torres, but, deep joy, are trying to get Buffon in as their keeper in place of Brazilian nunce Dida. Now, does this prove there is a God, or AC read my posts?
A lot hangs on the outcome of the match fixing investigation currently levied at Juve though - Lilian Thuram could also switch
Tip for AC (as you read my posts), spend a few bob and bring in keeper João Ricardo from Angola as well

You show deep insights again, No.9!! I am sure AC's scouts are monitoring these forums here.... I thought Torres was very good in the Tunesia game. Buffon is always an asset to have on your team.
Is Juve going to see a walk out of all leading players???
