“Chronicles of Terror” – new internet archive (testimonies concerning Nazi crimes in Poland)

Chroniclesofterror.pl is a internet archive established in August 2016. It provides access to the depositions of Polish citizens who gave testimony before the Main Commission for the Investigation of German Crimes in Poland. Currently there are ca. 1,200 depositions, the majority is available in English. Many accounts describe crimes committed during World War II in Warsaw. The database holds depositions made by former prisoners (Jewish and Polish) of extermination camps and concentration camps too.

 

The new batch of testimonies was uploaded last week. Currently there are nearly 1000 testimonies in English available on the website.

 

The archive was again expanded. There are already 1005 testimonies in English. Check the collection concerning the infamous Wola massacre - Genocide in Wola - a district sentenced to death

 

Looks like a great resource Most impressed. Just been reading about the Wola massacre. First time I had heard of it, and it is good to see that information of this atrocity is available to read on line. Will be returning to read more.
