Hi, Here is my work about a soldier from the 32nd Infantry Division at the battle of Buna Gona. The name is "The weary Soldier". Hope you gonna appreciate this.

LouGo: That is amazing work. The dry-brushing on the beard must have taken forever. The highlighting on the sweaty face is excellent. The pin-striping is perfect. The weathering on the wear and tear is mind-boggling. You are a very, very skilled model/miniature painter and this is top-tier work. Outstanding! Bravissimo! Thank you for posting this inspirational work. You should be very proud of your work and your expertise. This is masterful work. Was the original model resin, plastic or metal? I would guess resin. Cheers and congratulations on your masterful work. Evilroddy.
Museum quality work there. Buna-Gona is a fascinating campaign in New Guinea. 32nd Red Arrow Division is mostly unheralded probably because it's in the Pacific. They fought on Luzon and captured Yamashita who thought highly of their fighting ability. When Yamashita surrendered, he asked what their patch represented and thought there was some truth to it when told.
Hi, Thanks you very much for all your comments ! i appreciate Evilroddy, Thank you for your enthusiastic comment. I really appreciate. There is probably some confusions. This is not a miniature in 1/16 scale or 1/24 scale in resin or metal. It's in 1/6 scale (12 inches). It's plastic for the articulated body and I used some "MagicSculpt" to hide the articulated parts. Plastic for the Thompson, the head sculpt, and some parts. Fabric for the uniform and gaiters. Metal for the helmet. For the beard and hair, I used mohair lamb fur, glued with white glue. Not difficult to do but a long process.
LouGo: You scratch built this? That is even more amazing. Outstanding work! Cheers and be well. Evilroddy.
Not difficult to do ?? You wouldn't want to see my attempts at something like this. It'd be a mass of glue with most likely some of my own skin. And hair I'd pulled out of my head in frustration.
