This is the first vehicle model I've built in 30 years, (I'm 46) just did the camo last week...paint chips and weathering still to do. I've been researching this for years, the actual doing, is all new to me... Paints used; Valejo Modelaire acrylics through airbrush Dunklegelb, pre 1943 Panzer grun Panzer braun matt black rust solution on exaust I'm pleased with the result though, enjoy.
I know, you're absolutely right, this scale of model is quite large, and expensive...beads of sweat appear, and my jaw tightens whenever I'm about to forever alter their appearance...haha!
