I think I have asked this before, and never got an answer. But I'm still looking for a good 1st person tank shooter game! I know there is plenty of tank strategy games out there like the panzer series. But I was hoping for a shooter typ game. I know "World of tanks" is out there, but I can't play that as I don't have highspeed (I know your laughing at me now). Can anyone give me a hand where to find a good one? There must be one out there!!!
The only ones I can think of are not true tank games and require internet (WW2 Online and Red Orchestra). Otherwise, I don't think there is one.

I second the Red Orchestra recommendation... can be bought cheaply with the Ost Front 41-45 and Mare Nostrum expansions. You will need some luck to get on a populated server due to the age of the games, and so few players online. If you do, and it's a tank map, it's loads of fun. PC Gamer recently had an early look at World of Tanks: World of Tanks — Free-To-Play Panzer MMO Game, Promo Web-Site Looks promising...
