1st Squadron, Combat Crew Replacement Center Group

Hello all,

I am trying to determine the circumstances surrounding the loss of Staff Sergeant Angelo M Nicoletti.

He belonged to the titular unit and is listed as FOD along with a number of other airmen on the date 2nd Feb 1944. I have tried to find the aircraft they were on, place they went missing and also the reasons why but I am coming up short.

I hope someone on here may be familiar with the event that led to the disappearance, whether it was through combat action or possible vehicle malfunction or something along those lines.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.
