I have spent the last four hours scanning 36 photos of the album of a soldier of the 645th Tank Destroyer Bn. The 645th was attached to the 45th Infantry Division for most of the war. Unfortunately, only a few photos have locale or date. If you use Facebook, you can view all of the images here: Log into Facebook | Facebook If you do not use Facebook, you can view the photos in my album on Flickr: 645th Tank Destroyer Bn Dave
Very interesting photos, thanks. My dad was a tank platoon commander with them but which battalion, I have no idea. But he talked very seldomly about the war and I asked few questions back before he died in February of 1988. But I did keep his patches that he brought home, among them the tank eating tiger patch. He was in from 1941 to 1945 and wound up in the 29th Infantry Division as a Captain.
Great pics, Dave. I bet the Tank Destroyer website would be interested in adding the Flickr link to the 645th TD Bn unit page. @Natman
Hi, Tom.. I emailed the photos to the administrator of Tankdestroyers.net yesterday. Great minds think alike. Dave
