88mm Flak Battery in Action

    The crew of a "Caesar" gun of an 88 mm flak battery in action. Up to this picture being taken the gun had scored eleven hits which can be seen marked on its barrel ...

    In a gun position camouflaged with cornstalks, this 88mm flak gun is ready for action. Note the wooden cover of the pneumatic recuperator above the gun barrel. This was probably ment to prevent overheating in the bright sunlight.

    the maximum ceiling range of this gun was 11,900 m.

    I know im beating talking about my photos collection into the ground but--ive a number of great original images of Flak 88s being used. Many are nighttime shots. Some are Army and the rest are LW Flak 88 shots. Great thread and ill be posting more info here soon.
