Let us all remember the victims and families of 9/11.

I didn't watch either. News/talk radio at work had some stories about it but nothing in detail. I think the country has become calloused to it. The politicians turned it into a free-for-all and media put there typical anti-Bush spin on everything associated with it. Many folks don't seem to care anymore. :-?

I wouldn't say folks don't care, but I would say they are sick of the politicians and all of the usual political posturing. That's why I didn't bother to watch anything today.

I was off yesterday, so I noticed the TV was abuzz with 9-11 tributes.
About 9:30am I stepped outside the back door with the Diesel-dog and was enjoying a beautiful morning.

Just then I hear the snarling of radial engines. As I stand there transfixed, a B-17G appears just over the treetops. I could see the lights in the leading edges of each wing. It comes a-howling over my head, right over my house at about 400 feet. It was REALLY low. I was jumping up and down in the backyard, waving and yelling "YEAH!" at the top of my lungs.
It felt REAL good. My hair was standing on end... I was pumped. It felt good to be an American.

The EAA is in town and they brought a B-17G "Aluminum Overcast" for static display walk-through tours. For $425 you can take a ride in a real B-17G. That big rascal was buzzing the town all morning.

I really couldn't think of anything to add that didn't sound like a plattitude. So I'm just agreeing with JCalhoun.

A sad day. My thoughts were with them and their families.
