Dear all, My name is Eric Bijtelaar and I am a WW2 researcher focused on the 99th Infantry Division. Currently my good friend Florent Plana from France is in the US interviewing many veterans from World War Two. Since I am working on a documentary at this moment we found 4 veterans of the 99th Infantry Division available to participate in the documentary and are being interviewed in the next two months. I was wondering if someone knows veterans of the 99th Infantry Division in the Pennsylvania, Ohio or Maryland area who would be interested in sharing their experiences for the documentary. Time is running out for our generation to record the experiences of all those that fought for our freedom. Wanna learn more about this initiative please visit the below links. Alot of people are currently involved in making my dream come true, a seven episode documentary about the 99th. http://www.99thinfantrydivision.com https://www.gofundme.com/99thdivision This is the teaser video we made about a month ago. https://vimeo.com/180274119 Please let me know if you can help us. Thank you for your time, Eric
Wished I could help you, Eric. We've had one or two Battle Babies come through the forum in the past 10 years or so. One of them lived in Florida and I know is now deceased.
I will try and get writers from the Cleveland Plain Dealer and Akron Beacon Journal to put out the call for help. If I may copy your post to Ohio.com we may get a response.
Hi rkline56, Please use my post to share and hopefully we can find some of those heroes. Thanks, Eric
