A letter from KZ Dachau 3K 1943

    Quite a historic document. I wonder who this man was. Possibly a Political prisonner from Silezia. "Heute ist schön" what a strong spirit when you're writing from utter hell!

    ive contacted the guys who took care about the kz dachau today,but havent received a mail back..would like to know who we was and what happened to him

    If he survived he possibly stayed in Poland and opted for the Polish nationality. Or he was German and his familly moved west in 1945. I hope he survived because from 1943 to 1945 it must have been a looooong time.

    The name is Heinrich Ganz right (spelling?)

    I got the Infos i was looking for..He survived and died in 1972.

    This confirms he was a political prisoner and a Polish patriot. It's amazing he was arrested as early as 1940 and survived . (and probably a few weeks earlier, because he did not arrive at Dachau immediately after his arrest). Dachau was liberated by the 45th U.S Infantry . They liberated this inmate the very same day.

    Thats really interesting...to bad that he died in 1972...
