back in the 90s I had to do a electrical survey on camp Pendleton. We had to go to various buildings inspect the wiring find the pole transformers measure the distance survey a spot for a ground pad mount transformer. Anyway while we were there we ran into a number of sargents that would ask us what we were doing, they would usually say what can I help you hard dogs with. My boss and I were wondering exactly what they were referring by calling us hard dogs. So if someone out there can clarify it would be appreciated. I know the marines favor the bull dog and I'm sure it refers to being a fit or stout dog, but I would still like to know for sure. Thanks for your time and info
