    Hello,

I recently obtained an ammunition box and I was looking to see if anyone has any information about it. I would be especially interested in the date it was manufactured and if it is WWII authentic.
It has the words “AMM. BOX CAL. .50M2” embossed in the metal below the latch.
On the short end it has BURROWES and and US with the flaming bomb logo.
On the back, where the lot # is usually seen, it is blank.
My picture files were too large even after I compressed them so I posted them to imgur(an image sharing website) Anyone know anything about ammo boxes?
Any and all information would be appreciated!
    Thanks in advance!

Here is one I got at the Army surplus store. A little faint, but you get the idea. I keep shotgun shells in it. And, welcome!
