    Hello Wessex ,
What are this sites strengths ? is it predominantly British ,US or truly multinational ? I have spent a fair amount of time recently on the big German enthusiasts forum ,but now looking to research some of my USMC photo albums and British collections .
Happy to post some of my German albums if there is interest , but fancied a bit of a rest from the Third Reich .
Will have to hunt around here , I suspect their are plenty of photo related threads ?

My website .... www.throughtheireyes2.co.uk ..mostly military photo albums ...site still very much in its infancy ...still loads of work to do ,need to better present and organise ... a few months back I had no website knowledge/ experience ...many headaches later , i'm reasonably happy with progress so far .
It will give you a flavour of the images in my collection ..i'm now getting around to researching the albums in more detail . Forum members on other sites have been very helpful with Fallschirmjager and Uboat albums .
I now have 2 USMC albums I wish to work on ..one was the personal album of a well connected US General ...I have outline details of his service career but would appreciate any further info about the man ...nothing comes up on a basic google search .
When time in the coming weeks ( house move within the next month ) ..I will upload images and await forum members comments ,
    many thanks
    jim

Howdy Jim, Pay no attention to Wessex...think strange relative you hide in the back of the house when you have visitors . :D

Good to have you here. Please post anything you like, the more the better. This forum leans toward the Western Hemisphere, but we have a strong Limey contingent and they are usually sober.

You can also visit ww2talk.com for a stiffer dose of British discussion. It is owned by the same person as this forum. You'll see some common names lurking about both places.

Hello Jim. Glad to have you aboard. Another Englishman shouldn't bother us too much, and we certainly look forward to whatever you have to post.

...I like the way you chaps all have loads of medals .. you are like the Russians puffed up with a chest full . Jim , a lowly raw recruit , merely has a little block saying "unknown quantity "...a few women in my life would say that just about sums me up . ( sorry to mention the W word ) .
Decided already ,I dont want any awards ...want to remain a man of mystery .
