Poppy, there was an actual Zimbabwe banknote in the package with the book. It was like 50 Million Zimbabwe dollars, but worth about a nickel. You must have tossed it out with the package.
So, what's going to happen in Canada now? Y'all got a new PM coming to town. A real liberal type of guy or what? Big changes coming? How can it get more liberal up there anyway?
He says- deficits in order to renew infrastructure. Which is code for kickbacks in manilla envelopes.
I doubt it. I think I just tossed it in there on top of the book. Probably got thrown away with the box. They sell huge denomination Zimbabwe bucks on Ebay for a couple of dollars. They're worth more as jokes than as actual currency. Just thought you'd be amused - I think you had sent me tire dollars at about that time.
An update from Canada: we're to disengage from the ISIS fight, and the Bank of Canada has lowered its economic forcast for the next 2 years. The CAD-USD exchange rate ain't doing too well either. Trudeaumania redux indeed! On an unrelated note, there's rumours swirling that a handgun and semi-automatic rifle ban is on the adgenda. Who wants what from my collection? One of the Johnsons is already spoken for by a certain WW2F member from Luxembourg..but there's still a large amount worth of equipment left where that came from! Come on now, don't be shy -- certainly someone wants an M1D or a Nambu? When I leave the country I'll have to travel light, with only the lightest of 5 historic military vehicle convoys! Of course, that decision is entirely for throughly non-political, unbiased reasons.
It's going to be like the Syrians fleeing into Europe. For reasons completely unrelated to political leanings, millions of Canadians will be fleeing south with trunks full of moose rifles and boxes of donuts, complaining about WiFi access, demanding poutine at truck stops, looting the stores for sunscreen and Molson's.
You know, when we get a massive influx of conservative leaning Ex Canadian gun nuts we could sell a lot of land adjacent to our southern border pretty cheap and solve 2 problems with one move.
There are many that I would like, but you won't take any of my blusih-gray 20 denomination pieces of paper. They pattern their cuisine after Mississippi?
Just a heads up to our Cousin's in the Great White North. I'm less than 60 miles (100km?) as the crow flies from the border & I've got 20 acres of free space for storage. Very discrete, low cost (just leave me the keys - so I can keep the batteries charged, and enough ammo - so I can keep things from rusting).
A guy says he might be interested in some stuff GP. Could you put together a list if you are serious. Ha- Ken
I'm as serious about this as I am a thoroughly non-political, unbiased person. Take from that what you will!
Just some more info about who/what our new PM is/came from: http://nypost.com/2015/10/23/new-canadian-prime-ministers-mom-was-a-nyc-wild-child/
