Together with Spideyman i did a trip to the Ardennes Forest to do some searching, we never expected there would be so much snow, we did not find much but we had a great time in the surrounding area.
We took a lot of pictures, this is somewhat how it looked like in Dec. 1944.

yes, fantastic photo's - thanks for showing!

i'd say your right about not finding too much though, you'd need "Mr Plow" to help you move all the snow :)

I see that you are as good with the camera as you are with your metal detector :D

Great photos. Some of mine follow showing intact foxholes outside of Bastogne/Foy. A rather warmer day, even in October!

interesting the top gorgeous pics of the Eifel ? in the snow remind me of the hills to my west when they get their dusting. they are thick and dark-black, fir, spruce and pine on the ridges. think the Ardenne beckons ........

I also would like to add my pictures of the the Bois Jacques. It's the forrest just outside of Bastogne with the foxholes E-Company was in. One picture overlooks the village of Foy which they had to assault in January 1945.
