Armageddon - Max Hastings

Currently reading Max Hastings' new book - Armageddon, the battle for Germnay 1944 - 1945 - very intresting so far, got to the events just after Market Garden.

 

Sounds interesting! This is pretty much the period I specialize in. Thanks, PMN1!

 

I suspect it is going to be quite controversial to some of those here.

 

Currently half way through it, not sure if it willl provide any new information to you or not - it has to me (and very intresting it is, I may make some comments on the other boards), I am more concerned about the whole period 1922 on (at least on the naval side) - so I would recommend getting it from your library first, having said that, I have put an order in with Amazon.
