Dusting this relic hobo bachelor thread.

    TUNA MELT-
    pre heat hobo campfire
1 can tuna (duh), or cat food
As much mayo as you can take from 7-11
    Put into a ziploc container.
A lot of cracked black pepper (yes, not many hobo's carry pepper grinders, im special) and salt
Halve a sweet onion, mince (preferably with a broken wine bottle)
-this is important- put some lemon juice in there.
Stir it up ( little darlin' )
    Toast some toast.
Spread concoction on toast, top with aged white cheddar.
Bake 350-400 until people start wandering over, looking for some. (this is where the broken bottle will come in handy)

Maybe we can get the mods to modify the thread title to "Field & Bachelor Recipes. Maybe it will get pinned. Who knows.

Dunno/Doncare if I posted this before:

Brown one pound of good burger. Add one 16 oz. jar of hot salsa. Simmer five minutes. Put on stuff.

    Another fave:

Six hot dogs, microwaved. 4-8 ozs. salsa con queso, microwaved. Mix. Eat.

    And:

Easy grilled cheese. Toast, slathered with nacho cheese, add turkey and ham.

Too much work. I dip hot dogs in a glop of mustard, no bun. Buns are an extravagance.

    Hot dog and egg sandwich.

Cut up two hotdogs. Fry in butter, turning so both sides brown.
Meanwhile, scramble two eggs with a dash of milk.
When hotdogs are brown, add scrambled eggs.
When done, put on bread for two sandwiches.
    Salt and pepper to taste.

Read a great hot dog hack the other day...when you go to the bakery to get some bread, ask them to put the loaf through the cutting machine lengthways...makes for perfect hot dog bread! No sausage or hotdog sticking out the ends...

To get lazy hot dog, put them sideways on top of a toaster and toast.

King's Feast: Chop up two hot dogs and put in a pot with a can of chili. Heat and eat.

BTW, up your game with jalapeno cheddar brats instead of hot dogs. You'll feel all classy and shit.

They sell microwaveable bacon these days, precooked. And precooked sausage patties. Now if I could only get someone to come in and heat them up for me.

I usually see the opposite problem, the dog or sausage is shorter than the roll. These days it's getting hard to make ends meat.

One of my cousins designed an automatic sandwich maker. I asked him how it operated.

    "You push this button."

    "Too much work."
