Batleship vs Aircraft!?

    Wich battleship was most sucsesful against shooting down (enemy) aircraft during WWII??
    How many kills?

    Don't think anyone could answer that but it is undoubtedly one of the American battleships that was in service in the last year or two of the war against Japan.

    Given the massive AA batteries that even the old BBs were given, I'd have to agree. :D

    I believe the North Carolina gave good account of herself in the Pacific as an AA platform.

    Yes, she did. In fact, her gunfire helped tobreak up a Japanese air attack on an American carrier task force during one of the Solomons carrier battles; Eastern Solomons, I think.
