Have anybody ever seen a decent book about the Valentine tank ? I´ve been looking for one for a while now, but the only one I´ve found so far is a Polish book for modellers, with Polish text.

If I find one here in Vancouver, would you purchase it from me?

Very few books on Valentine, only two I know of are both by
"Bryan Perret", one, maybe both published by "Ian Allen" in 1972.
"British Tanks in North Africa 1940/42"
"The Valentine in North Africa 1942/43"

MP, sure, if you find one. :)

Thanks trackpin, I´ll do a search on those books. Is "British Tanks in North Africa 1940/42" the one published by Osprey, the old Vanguard series ?

I managed to dig up a couple of old Bellona Military Vehicle Prints, dating from the early seventies; No.34 ( Valentine, early marks ) and No.38 ( Valentine, late marks ). These were probaly aimed at the modeller, because the text is a bit sparse. Plenty of great pictures though.

Now I´m looking for AFV Profiles No.6 ( Valentine ), which was published in 1968.

This is from Darlington Publications 1996. A 24 page soft covered book.

This series of booklets seem pretty common in the specialist bookshops I have seen. I think they have been sold on as remainders.

Guessing by the fact the price is in $ I assume it is more common in America?

m kenny - do Darlington do similar publications for most AFVs?

(nice picture on the cover, ain't it?)

    Latest number I have is no.25. (2000)
    10) Valentine
    13) Matilda
    17) M18 Hell Cat
    18) Wespe
    25) Cromwell

The rest are mostly modern afv's and I do not know if this list of WWII titles is complete.

Thanks - I will have to search around for them.

I take it you recommend them as useful & informative.
