Camp Callen 1944

    Trying to find out what unit or company my grandfather may have went to after his training at camp Callen in 1944?

    His picture shows Battery C 56TH AA

    I think he wounded 3-1944 in Bamberg, Germany so that puts him around there at that time.
    I thought 1rst Battalion 15th Infantry was working their way around there but also 10th & 11th Armored? Without his papers and uniform I cant seem to find out his war path, unit & etc.

    If anyone knows more than I on this I would appreciate any info or where to look? I binged and googled but records just show a lot of pics.

    Did you mean March 1945 for the date he was wounded?
