I'm researching my Uncle's military career and was advised to post his name and unit info. Perhaps someone will be willing to share some information on this unit with me?

Charles was KIA on Anzio Beach Italy sometime between 22 Jan 1944 and 3 Feb 1944. He was listed as MIA before KIA.

His service records were partially burned in the fire, but we have some of them. I don't have them at my house, they're at my mom's. I'll be there in a few weeks and will upload them.

That will be great. His name and unit are helpful, but uploading his service records will be a big help.
BTW, welcome to the forum. We try our best to be helpful.

There are several threads here on the 157th. You might try a search (upper right on the website) to give you a start. You can also look at this book too see if it helps. 157th Infantry Regiment - Eager for Duty
You can try to find it by going to your local library and request it though an Inter-Library Loan if it's in any library.
