Question, has anyone else tried the chat I set up or is it a waste of time?
So far only rbagen has logged in that I can see. I guess time difference is a major factor too.

This is ARSC chat. When it loads you will see a menu below the sign in script boxes. I found using the top choice did not allow chat text to show but the 2 options below that do work. There seems to be a delay in typing and entering text before it displays in the chat screen. Try it as at the moment I have no alternatives. :D

We should create some time slots, three or four times a day, so people would know when the best chance of meeting others was.

No offence , we are lucky to have a chat , but it was kind of shabby , try the other one. Don't mean to sound ungrateful or rude.

I'll be taking the chat down today and then installing the second one to try. If that's not liked either then I'm stumped as I dont have the knowledge/skill to take basic chat script and alter it to suit the forum (using these is not as simple as the ones my hosts provide as they just install in with all existing php databases).

The new chat is called ARSC and a link to check it can be found here http://manuel.kiessling.net/projects/software/arsc/

It's now up and running, see the first post in this thread for the link and some info'. I'll wait till we get some decent trials and verdicts before posting the admin details to our moderators.

Do you mean that when you type and hit enter the text does not appear in the main chat screen? Whioch option did you choose at the log in screen? Was it the first one? If so check either of the two below that before loggin in, you will still experience a delay of 2-3 secs before your text appears in the main screen when you hit enter. (at least that's what happens with me)

I'm not Phelps , but I think hes referring to when you go into the forum you have to register , instead of the chat screen just popping up , I dunno Im just speculating.
