My mom asked me to take care of doing any VA forms since she really doesn't feel up to it. She said she was told the VA will provide $300 in death benefits which we can use towards paying the funeral home for the cremation. I searched on the VA site but only found stuff about burial, not actual funds we can use towards paying the funeral home. We need to get them paid so they will release the remains and I'm then going to go for a spot at Arlington national next to family members. Can anyone please point me to which exact form I need to fill out and have her sign to get this $300 she is talking about? Thanks! Alex
