    It was taken from a chase plane. The guy jumped out of a balloon at 100,000 feet, hence the suit. This was at least 20 years ago IIRC.

    It blew the engine off (yes thats how small a radial actually is) - Blew the fuel tank in the wing and even blew the undercarriage "open" creating drag that dips the right wing. I'd like to think the pilot had time enough to "right" the plane long enough for crew to bail...The pilot on the other hand...
