More than half the US are "essential workers" going about their lives. Half the states never really locked down, people outside enjoying recreational opportunities, working and so on. The virus (according to the CDC) is dead in 90 seconds in sunlight, but lingers 18 hours on surfaces indoors, so everybody must stay indoors except that half of the family that is working and carrying the virus home, where it lingers... In some states you can't pick up a quart of milk at the local Mom n' Pop store, but are forced to use the big box store with thousands of other people. The "lockdown" is largely nonsensical. Even if it weren't so arbitrary and stupid, it isn't meant to save lives, but to spread out the deaths. Many people can't grasp that simple fact. In the end, the virus is not going away. You can't live in your bunker forever. .
