As it near Arnhem time, thought I would show you some of the British Paras I have been painting... The first two pics are 20mm FAA figures, painted by me for MAverik... Still have to finish the support... The next two are from my 28mm Foundry Paras for my Arnhem force...
Wow - nice figures. I was always under the impression that most of the Brits at Arnhem wore Red Berets (Red Devils at Arnhem) but i guess that could be a Hollywood-thing in all the movies. What material are you using for the 'grass'? Looks pretty darn good.
Great job RB Can't wait to see them in the flesh! See some action! Hmmmmmmm. Have to tell Mark he is playing the Germans!
Cool! DO you think I should try and make a mountain gun? I've planned donkeys covered in packs, GJ with MP40 K98 and Sturmgewehr 44s and of course a MG38/42 team. I also want to do a few actually climbing a mountain with ropes and pick at rhe ready - I thought that would be interesting and good for diaramas?
Donkeys sound cool! Yer go for the mountain gun! You wanna try and make the range as complete as possible so people can buy a complete force in one go. I would also think about doing a 50mm and 81mm mortar teams and maybe a few with fez's and smocks to represent Waffen-SS Handschar? If you do guys in smocks and helmet cover then they can be Waffen-SS GJ. You could really corner the market on 28mm GJ...
Well... At the moment I am workin on a ton of stuff! 6mm Napoleonics, ACW and Sci-Fi and in 28mm Fantasy and WW2 Germans and Soviets... including a rather hefty 28mm StuH42 (just for Framert... ) Until I have pics on those here is a pic of some ACW 1/300th (6mm) Generals that I did recently for a customer... these guys measure 6mm from foot to eye... And this is the StuH42 I am workin on... There will be more pics of some British Napoleonics and some WW2 stuff soon... Including my two British Airborne Brigades in 20mm... TTFN, RED
